Infrastructure
During his nearly 10 years in the House of Representatives, Darren has brought billions of dollars in federal funding to the district to expand I-4, Orlando International Airport, SunRail, and Kissimmee Gateway Airport.
He led the charge to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. He pulled together a bipartisan Florida Congressional Delegation to support the $3.5 billion I-4 expansion through South Orange, Osceola, and Polk Counties.
Darren secured over $500 million to expand Orlando International Airport’s Terminal C, runways, and technology. He also delivered over $20 million for a new Kissimmee Air Traffic Control Tower, Customs Office, and expanded runways.
He is currently working on connecting SunRail/Brightline to Orlando International Airport, the theme parks, and eventually Tampa. This will help local residents get to work, the airport, and tourists to their final destination.
